Letter: Should we choose a border wall over education?

The latest estimate on building a border wall is $21.6 billion. A year of college costs approximately $16,000 in California. The $21.6 billion is equivalent to 1.35 million years of college education. Or 337,500 four-year college educations. You tell me, which would you prefer to have four years from now, 337,500 students with no student loans or a wall that needs to be maintained at a cost of close to $200 million a year.
It is time to seriously consider the best way to use our limited resources.
