HOUSTON (0-1) AT CINCINNATI (0-1)
Kickoff: Thursday, 5:30 p.m. (KNBC/4)
Outlook: Thursday night got off to a great start with Patriots-Chiefs last week, but looks like we’re back to our normal Thursday football programming. These two offenses were best described as “dumpster-firey” in Week 1, and while there may be nowhere to go but up for the quarterbacks in this matchup, it still might get ugly. Deshaun Watson is likely to start, on account of simply looking like he can complete a full play, but it’s the Texans defense that will need to step up. If J.J. Watt and Co. can force some turnovers, the Texans can keep from falling to 0-2. The Bengals, though, are feeling the same heat.
Player to watch: Andy Dalton, QB. No NFL quarterback was worse in Week 1, and the Texans defense isn’t exactly a soft landing spot. Another four-interception game might raise some serious questions about his starting role.
Line: Texans by 4.5
Prediction: Bengals, 19-17
